After the announcement of app- based G- Autos, Gurgaon will soon get an SMSbased autorickshaw service aimed at providing last mile connectivity from Metro stations in the city.

The service will be available at all Metro stations in Gurgaon and is likely to improve last mile connectivity in the city.
The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has given its approval to a private company, QRyde, to provide the service to commuters of the city.
At present, the service, which comprises a fleet of 3,000 autorickshaws, is being tested and will be launched by November 15.
Around 100 autorickshaws have been roped in for the testing phase, wherein commuters can book a trip to a Metro station by sending an SMS to 9664793344.
“We aim to have a fleet of 3,000 autorickshaws as it is the pilot project. The need of the hour is to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of transportation in Gurgaon. This will also help reduce the cumbersome task of searching for an autorickshaw. Even people without smart phones can use the service,” Parvesh Kuchwaha of QRyde India said.
The agency also plans to extend the service to malls, schools and hospitals, among other public spots across Gurgaon.
